Born in the city of Cognac in a wine merchants family, Philippe spent all his childhood and adolescence weekends and holidays in the family-run homestead: named la Rigoleterie and located in Saint André de Cognac in the very heart of the Borderies appellation.
After graduating high school in Cognac, Philippe went to a Business School in Paris. Newly graduated, he went abroad in order to perfect his understanding of international markets.
He worked many years in the wine merchant activity in Bordeaux and then joined his brother Henri in the family-run society in 2000. In 2005, he became the unique owner of the society.
Thanks to his network and the energy he deployed to develop the distribution of the Cognac Peyrat, Philippe succeeded in producing a fine quality Cognac while preserving the history of the family.
